Reunion Weekend Idea: Intimate Thursday Dinner at Mory’s With Yale Notables
By Ty Reynaga, BR’98
On Thursday, June 5th, we are proposing to organize four concurrent dinners in the upstairs rooms of Mory’s.
The draw of these dinners, for those arriving early to the Reunion, will be sitting down over dinner and cups with some notable Yale personality from our undergraduate days.
For instance, we may invite Master T. of Timothy Dwight College hold court in the Cup Room, and Professor Charles Hill, Yale’s Diplomat in Residence, host a meal in the Library. Professor Vincent Scully can have an intimate gathering in the President’s Room, and Dean Salovey can share conversation in the Captain’s Room. Everyone can cover the cost of their own meals, and the Committee can pick up the cost of the host’s dinner.
Would you be interested in attending if the reunion committee moved forward with organizing?
If so, please leave a comment so the Reunion Committee can start working on the logistics.
We know this would be on a Thursday, when many of you might not yet be in New Haven but if we were able to get 20 - 40 people who would be interested in joining, we’d be happy to move forward with organizing the preliminary logistics for people to sign up for in the spring.

Yes, this sounds like a fabulous idea. In particular, I would love to join Professor Scully so my architect husband would be excited about it too!
Thanks!

I think this sounds like a fabulous idea and since we live in NY, we’d be up for it… (I also think Professor Scully would be the draw for us!)
Thanks!

This is a great idea! My boyfriend and I would love to attend, depending on the time. We arrive into New Haven at 8 pm on Thursday.
